    We operate an online store at www.hotboots.store

    To provide our services, sell goods and operate our website, we process certain personal data.

    The processing of personal data is governed in particular by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation – “GDPR”).

    I. Personal Data Processing

    A. Processing personal data when using the contact form

    If you are inquiring about our products or services, we will process the contact details you provide to us, primarily via the contact form. These are: first name, last name, phone number, email address, billing address, shipping address.

    Why?

    We will use these to contact you for further arrangements regarding goods and services.

    On what legal basis?

    This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR – negotiation of a contract or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

    How long will we process personal data?

    If no further cooperation is established, we will retain your data for a maximum of 15 years from our last communication.

    B. Processing personal data in case of a purchase

    If you make a purchase with us, we will work with the data you provide. These are mainly billing details: first name, last name, phone number, email address, billing address, shipping address.

    Why?

    We need to process personal data to fulfill our contract – to deliver goods or services to you. We will also use the contact details to communicate with you regarding the status of your order, any complaints or inquiries.

    We will also process personal data to fulfill legal obligations (mainly for accounting and tax purposes or complaint handling, etc.).

    On what legal basis?

    This is processing based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR – contract performance, and Article 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations.

    How long will we process personal data?

    For the duration of our service and then for 15 years from the last provision of such service or delivery of goods.

    C. Newsletters (commercial communications)

    If you are a purchasing customer and did not opt out at the time of purchase, we will use your email address to send you our news and updates.

    On what legal basis?

    This is permitted under Section 7(3) of Act No. 480/2004 Coll., on certain information society services, unless you opted out at the time of purchase.

    How long will we process personal data?

    For 10 years from your last purchase. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the email link or by contacting us at info@hotboots.store

    II. Who has access to the data?

    Your data remains with us. However, some companies or individuals who assist us in operating our e-shop may have access to the data. These include:

    • The e-commerce platform provider Shoptet (Shoptet a.s., Dvořeckého 628/8, Břevnov, 169 00, Prague 6, Company ID 289 35 675, registered at the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, File 25395)
    • Companies involved in product shipping
    • Companies involved in payment processing
    • Email marketing service provider
    • Marketing agency

    We process personal data only within the European Union.

    III. What else should you know?

    We do not have a designated data protection officer in our company.

    We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.
